Lesson 1: Light in the darkness – a spiritual combat!

The history of creation began even before we humans made our appearance on the scene. But, it began with a great war, the like of which has never been known since! “Then war broke out in heaven” (Rev 12:7), the Book of Revelation tells us. The first battle ended in Heaven, but the war continues. And whether we realize it or not, we’re all drawn into this spiritual combat. But we have strong allies! In this first lesson of the course, Fr. Timothy Ring introduces the subject of angelology from this perspective: The Angels are our defenders on earth and will continue to be our companions for all eternity!
